We are Shane & Shantel, devoted Leonberger breeders based in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. Our journey together began in 2020, sparked by our shared passion for nature and animals. Since then, we have raised and worked with many dogs, particularly the Leonberger breed. Currently, our family consists of nine beautiful dogs whom we cherish deeply: five Leonbergers, a Leonberger mix, a Retriever mix, a Cane Corso, and a Chihuahua mix. And yes, the Leonberger makes an exceptional family companion, thriving with smaller furry friends and children! In addition to our dogs, we are proud to care for two cats, various reptiles, fish, and farm animals! In 2021, we made the decision to share our love for the Leonberger with our community, importing a dam from Poland with breeding rights to kickstart our journey. After nurturing our sweet girl for a couple of years, completing essential health testing, and finding a perfect sire, we welcomed our first litter of puppies in 2024. During this time, we also added an eligible sire to our pack. Being situated in Labrador offers unique challenges for dog breeders, and we dedicate a significant amount of time traveling with our pack to provide them with the best veterinary care, including regular check-ups at our local vet clinic. We believe in fostering healthy relationships with healthcare providers and encourage all families to prioritize the health, comfort, and safety of their furry loved ones. Due to our travels, we are also available for puppy deliveries to select provinces across Canada.
